Village Cinema
Great Hockham's very own regular cinema started in February 2010, when the Village Hall played host to the opening night of the Breckland Film Festival and showed Slum Dog Millionaire to a sell out audience.
It probably wasn’t the first time that the hall had been transformed into a cinema but since then the Village Hall has shown several well known films some of which are listed below.
We have also shown Skyfall, The Exotic Marigold Hotel, The Lavender Hill Mob, Life of Pi, Mamma Mia, The Hobbit an Unexpected journey, The Inbetweeners, Madagascar 3, the list just goes on!
All the films are shown with a top quality digital projector on a professional 10 ft high contrast screen and the sound quality is very good, broadcast on a large pa system.
All the films stop for a brief interval, when film goers can enjoy some refreshments and generally an ice cream!
Our thanks go to Creative Arts East and Breckland District Council for all their support.
Welcome to Great Hockham, a picturesque village situated in the heart of Norfolk's countryside
